Dr Turpin graduated from Newcastle Medical school in 2005 with distinction, and worked in Gateshead before joining the practice in 2016. Her interests include teaching and training, including medical students from Sunderland University and training doctors who are specialising as GPs.

Dr Fleming graduated from Newcastle Medical School in 2006.  She joined the practice in 2013 and has an interest in chronic disease management such as diabetes.

Emma Noble

Community Nurse Practitioner

Hi, my name is Emma, I am one of the community nurse practitioners here at Chastleton. Medical Group. I have a wealth of experience in multiple NHS settings which enables me to manage complex conditions. I look after our two aligned care homes and visit our housebound and elderly population to improve patient care and prevent hospital admissions. As a CNP, I link our ‘at risk’ patients and their families to the practice.

Hello! As a Nurse Practitioner I have an extremely rewarding and varied role. No two days are the same! I work out in the community, ensuring our adult housebound patients and elderly/frail care home residents receive equitable access to primary care. I am also part of a new service improvement that involves same day ‘see and treat’ Nurse Practitioner consultations within the surgery and am looking forward to developments with this over the coming months!

I’m Emily, I’m one of the practice nurses at Chastleton Medical Group. Previously I worked in secondary care so have experience working in both care sectors. I have an interest in woman’s health but do enjoy every aspect of my role. I also play for a netball team in my spare time to keep fit.

Rebecca is a Nurse Associate based in Chastleton Surgery and has worked within primary care settings for over 7 years. She has gained a vast amount of knowledge and skill during her time on the TNA course and has a passion for the nursing profession, empowering people to live a healthy life and prevent ill health.

Laura McManus is a Nursing associate working within Chastleton medical group, I have worked in the NHS for many years In various different roles. I joined the team at Chastleton in 2022 from the community Nursing team, where I have been able to develop my clinical skills and broaden my knowledge.

Nadia Haq

Hi, my name is Nadia and I am the Practice Pharmacist at Chastleton Medical Group. I qualified at Liverpool John Moores University just over 2 years ago and started working for Chastleton straight after.  I work here 3 days a week mainly doing medication reviews, synchronisations, and answering medication queries. The pharmacy team do a lot of ‘behind the scenes’ work to improve our patient safety and ensure your medication is in line with current guidelines. You can book in for a telephone call with me regarding any issues related to your medications. As I always say to patients who find out I’m here – use me! 😄

About Helen Beaumont

Hi, my name is Helen and I am the Prescribing Pharmacist at Chastleton Medical Group. I qualified at University of Sunderland in 1986. I worked in community pharmacy, but made the change to GP pharmacist in 2014, and started working here in March 2024. I am a qualified Independent Prescriber, and I work here 4 days a week running my own Hypertension Clinics, medication reviews and encouraging safe prescribing of medication using the current guidelines. I am available for both telephone and face to face appointments.

Louise Wardle

Pharma Tech

Louise is the Pharmacy Technician based in Chastleton Surgery.  She just started with the surgery in September but has worked in pharmacy for over 10 years.  You will likely be contacted by her to book medication reviews and blood tests for medication monitoring.  She helps with prescription queries and out of stock items, as well as being able to synchronise repeat medications to help make ordering prescriptions easier for patients.

Michelle is the SPLW based in Chastleton Surgery. She has a wealth of experience working in the NHS, Social Care and Housing sector within County Durham and is passionate about helping people work towards their goals and improving people’s health and well-being.

Care Coordinator

Jemma is a Care Coordinator based at Chastleton Surgery. She has experience in both Reception and Administration within General Practice. Her main role within Chastleton is arranging the annual Long Term Condition reviews and other monthly recalls.

Angela Elliott

Care Coordinator

Hi, my name is Angela (but you can call me Angie) and I am one of the Care Co-ordinators at Chastleton Medical Group. I have several roles here including cancer safety netting, looking after the safeguarding register and being the point of contact for carers and patients with dementia to name a few. I can provide support and advice to patients and if they need more in-depth social support, I can refer to our Social Prescriber, Michelle. I’m more than happy to receive enquiries from patients regarding any social concerns as I can always signpost to the appropriate service.

My name is Ria, I am the Reception manager here at Chastleton. I have worked here for 4 years and have experience in different sectors of the NHS. I take pride in helping patients and supporting our staff to deliver the best care possible. My roles include assisting with the flow of the practice, training and leading our receptionists and working closely with the practice managers to provide an efficient and patient-centred service.

I’m the Senior receptionist and Learning Disability champion at Chastleton. I’ve worked here for 6 years and help the team with all reception duties, I deal with deductions/ registrations and prescriptions. I enjoy helping people and spreading smiles.

Clare is a Receptionist who enjoys working as part of a Team at Chastleton Surgery.
The reception Team are initial point of contact for the surgery, face to face or over the telephone.  Booking appointment for GP’s, Nurses and offering appointments at Extended Access for evenings or weekends.

Providing basic information and navigating to appropriate services depending on the query.

I moved up to the Northeast from the Wirral Merseyside 3 and a half years ago to Live with my Husband. I’ve worked at Chastleton Medical Group since moving here, its good to be part of a lovely team, part of my role is to make appts F2F and by Telephone.

I work as a Data Admin within Chastleton.
I scan and code patient data onto medical records whether this be hospital correspondence or summarising newly registered patients records.

I work as part of a team to scan and code patient letters and data to their medical record quickly and efficiently.

As a medical secretary we deal with most of the outgoing correspondence in the practice such as letters and medical reports.  We also process both NHS and private referrals using the electronic referral system or by post.
I have been with Chastleton for around 20 years covering a variety of roles in reception before becoming a medical secretary in January 2023.

Business Manager

As Business Manager, my role involves managing and coordinating all of the business aspects of the practice.  This includes ensuring the right systems are in place to support the highest possible standard of care to all Chastleton patients, human resources, finances, patient safety, premise and equipment maintenance and information technology. 

Jonny Wilde

Operations Manager

As Operations Manager I am responsible for the day-to-day operations of the business, ensuring staff are working towards delivering the highest standard of care to all Chastleton patients.  I ensure our communication with staff, patients and carers is clear and effective.  I also deputise for the Business Manager as needed. Also Loves LEGO!
